Christmas 2010

These are the two versions of Christmas cards I sent out for this past Christmas. Someone got me into using the little gems that are on the 2nd card. I think they add something nice. Another thing I use often is ribbon. :)

The next picture is a unique one I took of a cross stitch project I've been working on for a while. This is one of the Christmas ornaments in the set.

I thought I'd share a few of the cards I made last year. Each card was made with a person in mind. Usually someone in my immediate family.

So. I'm not so good at keeping up with this blog.

Recently I've made only a few cards. I try to keep up with birthdays and Christmas.

Recently I've gotten quite a few compliments on my cards. It's been nice to hear those things. Those comments gives me a sense that I'm doing something I'm good at, something that I have a talent in that can shine a little light in other people's lives.

I hope to go farther with this hobby of mine.

Do you ever feel like it's hard to get started on making a card your thinking about for the sole reason that you have to get all the stuff out and then put it away again? This week I plan to make a card for a friend who had a baby and a birthday card for a birthday this month.

I thank God for the gift of crafting that He's given me! :)

New Blog

Welcome to my blog!

I'm surprising myself by starting a second blog. But this one has more of a purpose than my first one. With this blog I want to share with fellow scrapbookers and cross stitchers my joys of these crafts. I want to share the projects I'm doing and the techniques I'm learning and learn from others who happen by my site.

I started scrapbooking a couple years ago with the first being a short one for my parents 25th wedding anniversary. I then started scrapbooking my own photos and through friends got into card making.

Cross Stitching I've done since I was a child. I have a few projects finished and have two on the go right now.

I find that these scrapbooking and card making help me personalize so I can tell people what I really want them to know and I can do things like share the truth of Jesus Christ with others.
